Ok, I am back in town and slightly sick, but I will survive. My head is spinning with new ideas and things that I have learned at the conference. The number of people wanting to do some type of joint venture with me is amazing and I am grateful for all of the opportunities.

One of the highlights of my trip was getting to talk with Ron Legrand one of the most famous and richest real estate investors ever. Anyone interested in real estate investing has probably heard of Ron is some shape fashion or form. In fact, many people have been to one of his training programs before. Ron and my husband Lloyd belong to some of the same high level Mastermind Groups and we appeared in a movie with his as well.
But the real kicker is that Ron approached me about doing a joint venture with him! The famous Ron Legrand is interested in teaming with Lloyd and Vicki and Maryland Real Estate Secrets. The success stories from the people at the conference I attended were out of this world. People who have gone from zero to millions in 12 months applying and implementing the right marketing strategies. I wish you could have been there to see ordinary people just like you and me who have acquired success from scratch. It is so inspirational and it enforces what I talk to you about all the time. TAKING ACTION. Nobody is smarter than you are and nobody has an edge you do not. I’m excited because Maryland Real Estate Secrets students came and got to see it for themselves so now they too can validate what I have been saying.

In any event, I must run. We have an investing retreat this weekend that is full to the maximum with people coming to get in on real estate investing at the absolute best time ever. My assistant just called and begged me to come into the office to help them prepare because they are swamped. I don’t mind pitching in because I know it is getting hectic.

Happy Friday! I am still out of town at the wonderful Gaylord Hotel in Nashville. I finally got some time to hang out with Kristi Frank from Donald Trump’s apprentice. She is so sweet and funny and you couldn’t imagine the projects we were brainstorming on creating together.

This conference is definitely make dominated, but the number of women I am seeing increases every year, thanks in part to people like Lee Milter!

I just finished chatting briefly with Real Estate Mogul Ron Legrand, I promise to post a picture soon.

The reason I say Maryland Real Estate Investing is burning on fire is because I have my own personal students here and while they are hear rubbing shoulders with famous investors, they are on the phone with business associates in Maryland doing deals. Pure proof the market is booming for investors.

ATTENTION ALL UNETHICAL MARYLAND REAL ESTATE INVESTORS!

If you are an investor, my hope is that you have been operating ethically. In our investment group, Maryland Real Estate Secrets with Lloyd Irvin and Vicki Irvin, we pride ourselves on not associating with anyone who does bad or illegal business. Being established business people in the community, our names and reputations mean more to us than anything.

The independent investors in our group are a great bunch of people and we are proud of the businesses they have created for themselves. We love to get together and network and share ideas, so anyone who has ever operated in an unethical way, we have not allowed access to our networking group. But I am happy to say that out of hundreds of students, we have had to only kick a few bad apples out.

But what disturbs me the most are the people who go out and steal equity from innocent homeowners! Unfortunately, so many people are in foreclosure all across the country and slimy investors are there to take advantage of them. Here is how the scam works:
They get these homeowners to sign over the deed to their house with promises to allow them to stay in the home as a renter and the option to buy the home back once they get back on their feet. But guess what? They never plan to let them get the home back and all the time they are trying to sell the home to someone else at which point the homeowner gets kicked out and they have lost their equity and home. I don’t see how these shady investors even sleep at night. I am so happy the Foreclosure Rescue Law was enacted to protect people.

At Maryland Real Estate Secrets, we teach our students to stay away from people wanting to sell their home that are in foreclosure. While many investors have every intention on helping people who are losing their home, it is the best practice to not get involved. Our power team attorney tells investors the exact same thing.

As investors you have the opportunity to make money in real estate while helping out someone who wishes to sell their home without the use of a realtor. So we are always looking for win/win solutions! And that is a HUGE help to people who have been unable to sell their home with a realtor due to the market.

So always remember to operate your investment business ethically!

Ok, NO excuses! I have been completely M.I.A….. MISSING IN ACTION! I know, I know and nobody feels worse about it than me. But I have been being very productive, I promise!

We have been coaching soooo many people on real estate investing! I think I have done a pretty good job of dispelling the media myths about the real estate market and the economy overall. I am so glad I am not the only one buying into all of the media hype about the market! And guess what? Right now, I am on a break in my hotel room in Tennessee. I am at a conference with hundreds of pretty important people and the message of the day is how so many people are being brainwashed by the media. THE DOOM AND GLOOM of the economy is so much hype! Guess what? This cycle has been going on forever and the people who come out on top are those who do not buy into the hype. Don’t let shifts in the world dominate your life because soon you will feel deflated and defeated when you could be finding hidden opportunities.

For example, while uneducated people in real estate are running scared, the educated investors are making a killing in real estate. This is the best time to make money as an investor because properties are selling low and there isn’t much competition to get them. And the proof is in the pudding, I have students doing deals and making money every single week. And because they are now educated investors, they too are reaping the rewards. Oh and did I mention there are several Maryland Real Estate Secrets Investors here too? Some I didn’t even know were coming! And this is not a real estate conference this is a conference for entrepreneurs and business owners from all industries.

Guess who is sitting a few seats down from me????…….. None other than Ron Legrand himself, the grandfather of real estate investing. He and my husband Lloyd both belong to the same high level coaching groups with Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer. Ron and I were featured in a movie together and although we were in the same movie, I have never had a chance to speak to him. But I will be talking to him while I am here, I’ll let you know how that goes!

My friend Kristi Frank from Donald Trump’s apprentice is here as well, she came to my house last summer to film a project we were doing. I haven’t had a chance to speak to her yet either, but I plan to get with her too.

It is GREAT to be with so many inspiring people. Here everyone pushes you towards success and everyone works hard to leave a legacy for their kids. Do you know how people or the media make is seem shameful to be successful or make money? For whatever CRAZY reason the media likes to attack people who are ambitious. When In reality we should all be doing as much as we can in as many niches or industries as possible. That is how we are able to leave something better for our kids and grandkids so that they don’t have to go through the same struggles we did. So for those of you who have big dreams and for those of you experiencing success, my hat goes off to you. Being successful is an accomplishment, so never let jealous people or the media make you feel ashamed about what you have worked so hard for. Because if they had the chance to be really successful, you can best believe they would!! So keep working hard!

Lloyd Irvin Jr. Is a Dentist? NOT

As many of you already know, Lloyd is one of the top internet marketers in the world. He is currently working on a very high level Search Engine Optimization (SEO) project with an elite group of dentists from all over the country! While I don’t understand a lot of his techno-geek stuff, I do get the concept that once you master the art of sale and marketing, the sky is the limit as far as how much money you can make and what niches in business you can go into.

The FUNNY part is that Lloyd recently did a demo on his web site on how to do SEO stuff for dentists and showed them what they would learn. Some paper picked up the story on it and wrote about it saying that although they checked, they couldn’t find where Lloyd Irvin Jr. was a licensed dentist anywhere! Well DUH, that is because he is not a dentist nor has he ever claimed to be. But the BIGGER and more important lesson is that Lloyd’s marketing demo and dummy site was so good, that it had intelligent people convinced it was real and actually write about in papers. So looks like Lloyd has another hit on his hands!! WAY TO GO Lloyd!!

Anyway, I must run, I am currently in Tennesse at a conference with Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer and a room full of millionaires here to share their success stories. Gene Simmons from the rock group KISS spoke earlier and was such an inspiration showing us all how he built a billion dollar brand from the rock group. Gene has his hands in EVERYTHING and preaches that the sky is the limit. The sky is indeed the limit for all of us, so open up your minds and take some action on that idea you have floating around in your head!

My question of the day is this….Do you go to war every day for what
is you believe in or are working for? Or do you just dream with
zero action behind achieving your dreams? I’m asking this question
because my husband Lloyd was recently mentioned in a story along
with Donald Trump. The author of the story is known as the modern
day Napoleon Hill and is often referred to as the “Millionaire
Maker”. He compared and contrasted the attitudes of true warriors
with the drive to go to war every day they wake up. He quoted
Trump as basically saying every day he wakes up is to go to war for
what he needs to achieve in life. The person who backs down and
runs from competition, enemies, the self-doubt and destructive
behaviors of themselves and others, is not displaying what it takes
to get ahead each and every day. As I continued to read that
article, the author then said that Lloyd Irvin was a perfect
example of a warrior in all of his businesses and all that he does.

I was BLOWN away! Imagine that. And then I thought about it. As
much as my husband gets on THE last nerve I have, I have to admit
he is awesome. I watch him operate so many different businesses
every day with zest and a smile on his face. I watch him coach
adults in sports and competition from Olympians to UFC fighters. I
watch him mentor children from schools all over PG county at his
martial arts school. I watch him coach business owners from all
professions throughout the county on how to thrive and create true
wealth. So I think it is hot that he and Trump were mentioned in
the same breath.

My point is that having a mentor who exemplifies starting from
nothing and attaining success is priceless. Most of us don’t have
a positive role model in that aspect and having one from the same
community with national recognition has been a blessing to so many
people. Not to mention he is an awesome dad and husband as well.
So if nothing else, become a warrior and go to war every single day
for what you believe in and what you want to achieve.

Okay, another hectic day is already in FULL swing. I have to leave this evening for New Orleans on a last minute trip to spend a few days holed up with some major real estate investors. Anytime I go out of town and hang out with people of this caliber, it means I will bringing back some awesome info not only for myself, but for my students as well, so I am excited. This morning I had to get up early and wash clothes for myself, my husband and my son. Looks like Lloyd is going to be on some major daddy duty while I am gone. You know what that means….there is NO telling what my three year old will be wearing or what he will be eating! LOL

Do you know anyone who inspires you? Someone you admire and you strive to have the same qualities and character as? I think in life we meet several people we feel that way about. Sometimes when you least expect it you feel this connection with someone who motivates you to be a better person all around. It seems like many people spend a lifetime trying to find the right group of people to surround themselves with. Positive people who are going places and trying to bring as many people as possible with them. I recognize this is a rare trait in this world we live in, so if you ever find a true mentor who freely gives of themselves and their knowledge, you should latch on.

One of the people I admire is my husband. He is a coach and mentor to so many people in so many different facets of life. Through being a nationally known martial artist, he is a coach to world champions and Olympians. His martial arts school in Clinton, Maryland picks up children from 28 different schools in PG County where they come to learn discipline and respect. It’s amazing to me to see how many kids have grown up in his martial arts school. Kids who came to him at 3 years old who are now 13 years old honor students, even some in high school. The impact his martial arts program has on this community has been profound, he is a role model for so many kids with and without father figures. And then in the business world he coaches people to take their businesses to the next level, people flock to him from all over the country just to learn his marketing and business strategies. The difference that is making in people’s lives is amazing to me.

And so from him I have learned how to be a great coach as well. I get so much pleasure from teaching people how to build wealth and invest in real estate! People always think if they have bad credit or no money, they cannot invest in real estate. That is one of the biggest myths out there that we are educating people about. Life just isn’t the same unless you share knowledge with others and provide opportunities.

So if you have been an inspiration to others in any shape, fashion or form, I salute you! Keep up the good work, you NEVER know just how much of an impact you have made on someone’s life. Ok, gotta run, I’ll check in from New Orleans!

I am in the middle of yet another jam-packed real estate investing retreat. The weather outside couldn’t stop these students from coming to learn how to invest in real estate with Maryland Real Estate Secrets! Eveyone slipped right on in here!

I received an email from someone who wanted to know if the people they saw live who are making money with our program were for real. I mean, the person actually asked if we paid people to say they were making so much money with our program! First let me say this…. fake and phony testimonials are a crime, punishable by law. My husband and I have come way too far in life to have to pay people to say lies in front of masses of people in our own community.

But on the other hand, I understand the question. It is hard for people to believe that it is possible to make money in real estate. The checks people are getting as a result of our program are hard for a lot of people to wrap their minds around. But I urge you not to let self-debt and apprehension stop you from learning what you do not know. It’s one thing to be skepical and cautious, but never let it cripple you. Do your research and go with your gut feeling and most importantly, look at real life success stories and people you can talk to.

We know there are a lot of fraudelent and unethical people out there who flat out lie, so always, look for boatloads of success stories and people with a reputation, physical businesses and real roots in the community. People lie all the time, but checks do not lie! The rest is up to you!

I survived! All of the staff is out of my house, I could only take one day of that! My son is back in school feeling better and my life is getting back to normal for now! Thanks to all of you who sent me personal notes to hang in there.

I regularly receive lots of emails from people sharing their life trials and tribulations. Lately it seems that so many people are going through one circumstance or another. I try to answer as many emails as I can, and those that I can’t I speak to people in masses.

We have all been through one thing or another at some point. And sometimes it just seems when it rains it pours. For example, two days ago my 78 year old father had surgery. He is fine though. My 20 something year old nephew was waiting to hear what the growth on his lungs were. Turned out to be Sarcoidosis rather than the possible cancer they initially thought it could be. And my mom’s good friend who was the picture of health had a massive heart attack out of the blue and died. It has DEFINITELY been pouring.

So to all of you who are going through something, whether it be health, financial or emotional, I hear ya and I understand. None of us is exempt from this thing called life and some things are beyond our control. But for the things that are within our control, we must take responsibility for them and fight back to the top. It’s okay to be upset and bitter for a moment, but long term doesn’t do anything positive for you. Take that energy and channel into making a come back. Nobody is going to fight for you like YOU will.

So if you are feeling down and out. STOP! Take a DEEP breath and form a plan to pull yourself out. You have the inner strength to do it and nobody can take that away from you!

I have to run, we have another jam packed Real Estate Investing Retreat tomorrow and I have to make sure all if going according to plan! Oh, and my offices are coming together nicely, I will be sure to show you the before and after video, you will be amazed!
